Some good fights this weekend. The one I’m most looking forward to is Abrahams-Miranda. Personally I believe Miranda will be too much for Abrahams this time. They’re fighting at 166lbs, in Florida, and Miranda looks and seems totally psyched for the fight. But this is boxing and we’ll see.
I’m picking Miranda via TKO9.

Sirimongkol Singwangchai is looking for a title fight or a decent payday. He’s talented and fighting in Thailand isn’t going to get him anywhere at this stage of his career. I spoke with his manager yesterday and Sirimongkol, fresh off his blowout over Chad Bennett, is ready for another fight. I think he knows how important it is at this point to fight often and get plenty of exposure. Fighting stiffs in Thailand isn’t going to do much other than keep him busy but he can keep busy elsewhere – Australia, England, possibly even the PI.

Tomorrow is Sunday and I’ll be watching whatever fights I can on TV and the internet. I’ve got to sit down and figure out my schedule because I’ve got feature length articles planned for a couple of the magazines, fight reports, and I’ve got to finish my Expat Thailand book. I’ll be sending in a chapter of another book, The Greatest Boxers of Thailand to an interested publisher. I want to get it published – but they’ve got to make me an offer I can’t refuse.
