Today was spent writing and revising the articles I wrote for The Ring and The Phuket Gazette. All in all it was a laid back day and the articles came together pretty easily. I’ve been working on categorizing my photo archive, putting watermarks on the photos I put online, and burning copies whenever necessary.

It looks like WBA Featherweight champion Chris John and Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo have no chance of fighting. Money, as in most cases, or rather the lack of it, seems to be the problem.

Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym fights in a couple of days in Samut Prakarn. It’s not too far from where I am but he’s fighting a tomato can who has no chance of winning. I do think I’ll go though as he’s one of my favorite Thai fighters and I want to see if he looks sharp.

As I said before, I will not be going to the Oleydong Sithsamarchai fight in Phuket.

Tomorrow I believe I’ll work on getting my credentials for the Formula One race in Singapore, the first ever in the country. It’s a bit of a pain but hopefully I’ll be able to go. I’ll also figure out just what my schedule is for the next two weeks. Other than a doctor’s appointment, the next few days will be slow but will get busier as the month progresses. I’ll also work on my books – an Expat Guide Book, a Muay Thai books on the camps, a Muay Thai book ala Hemingway and a book on Thai boxers. I’ll work 90-120 minutes on each book and that will pretty much fill my day. The life of a journalist can be exciting and at times hectic but other times it can be boring. Alot of my time is spent reading, writing, researching, and planning.

Tonight, while chilling out watching TV, I solved the Rubik’s Cube for the third time. It’s getting easier – the main thing is simply to remember the algorithms.
